Highside/Lowside podcast: New motorcycles for 2024

Time for my semi-annual appearance on RevZilla’s Highside/Lowside podcast, along with hosts — and my friends — Zack Courts and Spurgeon Dunbar. This time the topic for discussion was which new motorcycles we were looking forward to coming out in 2024.

The challenge, for me, is two-fold. First, the podcast was recorded weeks ago, before we had much information released on the new models being introduced this year. It’s a great way to look uninformed and foolish: speculating about bikes and then having firm information released by the manufacturers before the podcast is edited and goes public. Right now, we’re in the midst of a flurry of new product introductions. Our team at RevZilla is attending no fewer than eight new motorcycle press introductions in the months of January and February. Lots is happening.

The second challenge, especially for me, is that Zack and Spurg don’t just want to talk about the most interesting new motorcycles, they want to talk about all of the new motorcycles. When they gave me a list of categories to discuss before the recording, I thought that meant we’d pick a few. Instead, we went through all of them. That’s why the podcast ended up being two hours long.

Personally, I think podcasts should probably top out at about 45 minutes, but I’m constantly amazed that at least some people actually can listen to us talk about motorcycles for that long and don’t seem to mind.

I hope you enjoy the discussion. And if not, that’s why it’s easy to skip forward.
