The not-so-apparent milestone: 106,259 miles.
I posted here a year and a half ago when the Speed Triple hit 100,000 miles and again two months ago when it turned 21 years old. Today I hit another milestone: 106,259 miles.
It’s not an obvious round number, or anything. But I took note because when I bought the bike in 1998, it had 6,259 miles on it. So now, I’ve put 100,000 on it myself. That’s the first time I’ve done that with any vehicle.
With any used motorcycle I’ve ever bought, I never feel like it’s truly mine until I’ve ridden it more miles than anyone else ever has. This one’s definitely mine.
